BCLC Welcomes Kim Neuhauser, Executive Director
It is with great excitement Blind Children’s Learning Center announces the appointment of Kim Neuhauser, PhD, as the organization’s president and executive director.
Dr. Kim Neuhauser has an extensive background working with Orange County non-profits on strategic planning and facilitation. She holds several degrees including a PhD in economics from Duke University and M.A from John Hopkins. Additionally, for the past ten years she held an appointment as a Faculty Lecturer in the Economics Department at University of California, Irvine.
Her most recent accomplishments include initiating and facilitating a strategic planning process that resulted in lowered operating costs, staff and board alignment, a new facility, and a renewed focus on poverty reduction strategies for Catholic Charities of Orange County.
"Kim has done a remarkable job of guiding many non-profits and, in doing so, has confirmed our confidence in her leadership skills," said Barbara Alvarado, board chairperson for BCLC.
