Garden Grove’s Sergeant Eggen Visits the Center
May was community awareness month here at BCLC, where all of our kids learned about important community helpers such as police officers. Sergeant Brian Eggen from the Garden Grove Police Department visited the Center where he taught the kids about what being a police officer is, and how to call 911 in an emergency. He gave the children an opportunity to feel real handcuffs and a police badge. He also gave the children a hands on experience with the police car. Afterwards, he drove away, sounded his siren for the kids to hear, and gave all the kids a police badge sticker. Thank you Sergeant Eggen and Garden Grove Police Department for participating in our community awareness month.
