Bright Visions Early Childhood Center is Blind Children's Learning Center's on-site inclusive preschool program for students ages six months through second grade.

____________
Our cutting edge, multi-sensory and adaptive curriculum meets state standards while providing specialized training in sensory development, utilization of low vision, and adaptive skills.

Early Braille and mobility training build a strong foundation for future success by giving children confidence to move through the world independently. A highly inclusive environment allows children with visual impairments to learn and play alongside children with sight.

It becomes difficult to tell the visually impaired and sighted students apart because both share the same spirit of independence.

A multi-sensory curriculum produces better outcomes in social-emotional, physical, communication, self-care, cognitive, and adaptive development (Help Me Grow, 2015).

Scarlett is just one student overcoming the obstacles of her blindness. She loves pounding the keys of a Brailler, and her ability to walk independently is rapidly improving since enrolling in Fall 2016. Her teacher and mom notice her vocabulary growing daily as she interacts with peers.
Access to assistive technology such as magnification allows children with moderate to severe visual impairments use their limited vision to its potential.
Braille education is crucial to longterm academic success and future employment opportunities.
Sensory play allows children to learn with their whole body. This helps children compensate for a lack of vision and is beneficial for overall healthy development.
The Total Communication System helps children get used to a schedule and transition between activities.
