Current Positions:
VISTA Marketing Specialist
A VISTA member will serve at Blind Children's Learning Center (minimum of one year) to develop and execute a comprehensive marketing campaign to promote enrollment in a highly effective, inclusive childcare and preschool program. The candidate will create a system for program evaluation, measurement of outcomes, and data collection. The deadline for applications is May 19, 2013. The position begins August 15, 2013.
VISTA member benefits include:
- Living allowance of $1,393 per month
- Housing stipend of up to $750 per month
- Childcare reimbursement of up to $400 per month and additional benefits
- Choose between Educational Award of $5,500 or cash stipend of $1,500 upon successful completion of service term

Teacher for the Visually Impaired
Blind Children’s Learning Center of Orange County, California is accepting applications for a full-time Teacher of the Visually Impaired. BCLC is a 48-year old non-profit organization serving blind, visually impaired, and deaf-blind children in Orange County, California. VI Teacher provides instruction and related services to children with a primary disability of visual impairment including blindness from birth to upper-K in a classroom setting. We also serve infants, children, and youth-- in their homes, in our on-site preschool, and on several public school sites. Applicants must have a California VI Teaching Credential or equivalent. May hold a California VI Emergency Credential and be attending classes to obtain the California VI Clear Credential.
Substitute Teacher and Aide Positions
We are always looking to update and add to our substitute list. These very special people would be available on an on-call basis and would generally work a 6-hour day in any of our many programs on-site.
