Introduction

What does a BCLC education mean? Our distinguished faculty, dynamic administrators, and dedicated staff understand that a quality education is defined by each student’s individual experience and ultimate successes.

Our teachers are trained to recognize the unique potential and needs of each student while creating an environment of collective achievement. We look at every BCLC student as college freshmen in the making because we offer each student the tools to become their own strongest advocate – tools that will allow them to live a productive, independent life.

At BCLC, students receive an unparalleled diversity of cultures, nationalities, and extracurricular activities. We strive to empower each student – each future BCLC graduate - to raise their expectations, seek rewarding challenges, and develop new goals as they learn to exist and excel in a sighted world.

For those who make the transition from infant students to accomplished alumni, The Blind Children’s Learning Center provides much more than an education. It is the defining experience of their lives. It’s where your visually impaired child should be registered.

In a typical pre-school setting, the children stared and stared at my daughter's eye patch.  It made her so uncomfortable – at two years old!!  At the Center, there was a little girl in her class with an eye patch, and so my daughter felt right at home.  Her vision has become much stronger. This was a gift from Blind Children's Learning Center.  Mom - Trisha Sullivan
