The tutoring program at BCLC provides additional assistance to visually impaired students by providing them a knowledgeable, proven, effective high school or college tutor who is also visually impaired.
The tutoring service is provided for any age child that needs extra help in academics, assistive technology, Braille or enlarged print reading and writing.
In a typical pre-school setting, the children stared and stared at my daughter's eye patch. It made her so uncomfortable – at two years old!! At the Center, there was a little girl in her class with an eye patch, and so my daughter felt right at home. Her vision has become much stronger.
