Physical Therapy

Physical Therapy is the art and science of physical care and rehabilitation. At BCLC our Physical Therapists are specially trained to provide services to the special population that we serve. Physical therapy is concerned with identifying and maximizing quality of life and movement potential within the spheres of promotion, prevention, treatment/intervention, habilitation and rehabilitation. This encompasses physical, psychological, emotional, and social well being. Physical therapy involves the interaction between physical therapist, patients/clients, other health professionals, families, care givers, and communities in a process where movement potential is assessed and goals are agreed upon, using knowledge and skills unique to physical therapists.

Testimonial

In a typical pre-school setting, the children stared and stared at my daughter's eye patch.  It made her so uncomfortable – at two years old!!  At the Center, there was a little girl in her class with an eye patch, and so my daughter felt right at home.  Her vision has become much stronger. This was a gift from Blind Children's Learning Center.  Mom - Trisha Sullivan
