Thank you Alcon!

Two dozen volunteers from Alcon spent their Saturday building and brightening the facilities at BCLC.  One team built a beautiful redwood play house on the playground for our older students.  Another team planted fresh flowers in front of the Fund Development Building and in the flower boxes.  New trees were planted to provide shade and beautify the playground. The stage was also given a fresh coat of paint, in preparation for BCLC’s Graduation Celebration in July.  It is amazing how much can get down with cheerful effort. The volunteers from Alcon come from many disciplines and share a universal giving spirit.

We thank James Foster for organizing the volunteers to make for a successful day and look forward to having the Alcon team come back for the next day of caring.

THANK YOU Alcon!

In a typical pre-school setting, the children stared and stared at my daughter's eye patch.  It made her so uncomfortable – at two years old!!  At the Center, there was a little girl in her class with an eye patch, and so my daughter felt right at home.  Her vision has become much stronger. This was a gift from Blind Children's Learning Center.  Mom - Trisha Sullivan
