At BCLC we are fortunate to have the Southern California College of Optometry working with us to provide the best possible eye care for low vision children who are part of our programs. With a full set of optometric equipment, Dr. Catherine Heyman and her team are able to evaluate children and work closely with the teaching staff and vision instructors to maximize the use of a child’s functional vision. “Early intervention providing efficient functional vision offers children with vision loss the best opportunity to become productive, independent adults,” observes Dr. Heyman.
